WITHOUT THE MASK

(Who Are You?)

Are you wearing a mask? Wearing a mask is covering your true self; not wearing a mask is uncovering your true identity. You can look a certain way in social life and live another way in spiritual life. God is more concerned with your "bare-face" than with your "covered-up" face. Why is the truth naked? It’s because it adds no color to itself. Living a "double life" is calling for a "trouble life"—don’t be lukewarm!

You wear a mask to earn good reputation in the eyes of men; you do not wear a mask to polish your character in the sight of God. Your reputation or character, which is much dearer? Your body or your soul, which is much worthier? Untie the mask, breath gently, and clear your vision. You came to reveal the "God’s image" in you, not to cover it up!

The "Behind the Scenes" of a drama is not seen by the audience, but seen by the director of the drama. The "Behind closed Doors" of a play is not seen by the spectators, but by the leader of the team. With all the unfolding drama and ongoing play, there is Someone (God) controlling the events. Your "behind the scenes" and "behind closed doors’" life may not be seen by men watching you from a distance, but it’s visible to the Director and Leader of the universe—God. He looks behind the mask (1 Samuel 16:7). God loves you!
