UNTIL THEN

In the beginning, the Master Architect designed and prepared an unprecedented abode for human kind. He (God) made the heavens and the earth and all their fullness therein. He formed the earth and made it, He did not create it in vain. He formed it to be inhabited by man. This palace of man was made in time and the Creator saw all that He has done, and indeed it was very good.

So long as humans fulfilled the commandment of God that forbid man from eating of the fruits from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the human race was to enjoy a comfortable home without sin and its fatal consequences. It was to be an abode of peace and tranquility. An arena devoid of chaos, sicknesses, accidents and the ultimate loss in death.

But one day, the enemy of souls came in. His ultimate goal is to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. In his encounter with Eve and the malignant seduction to Adam, man exchanged the flawless gifts of God for thorns and thistles. Sickness became man’s closest companion, and eternal death became the unfavorable hope in waiting.

Should God leave man to perish? Never! God exhibited His nature; love, compassionate, kind, and merciful. And so God demonstrated His own love towards us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The gift of God (Jesus) was sacrificed for our sins. Hope came, the loss was regained when after the resurrection, Christ offered the whole world a perpetual promise; I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; and where I am, there you may be also. Christ rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and preparing to come for His own. There, mankind will be free from all the burdens that sin has laid on us; for there will be a total restoration and reformation.

Christ will come and give us rest, but until then, there shall be false prophets and false Christs, wars and rumors of wars. Nations will rise against nations and kingdom against kingdoms, there will be famine, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. Iniquity, abominations and lawlessness shall abound. The gospel of the coming King will be preached in all the world as a witness to the glorious appearing of Christ.

If so then it is not a sheer coincidence that we are witnessing a hybrid form of moral decay (lesbianism, homosexuality, nudity, drug addiction, murder, etc.) natural disasters, spiritualism and spiritism etc. As people have become lovers of themselves and lovers of money, and losing their spiritual compasses, we need to be on guard. The current universal canker masquerading in the form of COVID 19 is an alarm that Christ is coming. Are you ready?
