THIS IS LOVE
The most common and overflowing word among the lips of many people in our generation is "love". Love has been the subject matter that many, most especially the youth of today like to discuss. Lectures are being held on love, and seminars whose content is on love have the majority of attendees. Amidst the great taste that people have for this subject matter, it has been the most painful ordeal that many people experience in their lives. This may be to the reason why majority of those who herald the messages on love and even those who profess to have love, lack the nitty-gritty of this concept. We basically associate "love" to the fancy feelings that is illuminated by lust and infatuation within us. This means that, about 99% of the "I love you" promises are just hullaballoo or twisted facts. Love equated to an erotic feeling cannot be true love.
From the Holy Scriptures, love is not just a feeling but a Person. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. The Creator of our world and the Sustainer of Human kind is the entity we are talking of. He is love and to have love is to have Him, and to share love is to share God.
God is willing to share Himself (love) with us because love does not seek its own. In this way, humankind became the object of God’s love. We are told that God loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God’s gift of love is not only for the Jews, not only for the blacks or the whites but for the world.
You may be blown or tortured by human love, rejected and scorned by loved ones, but love (God) Himself is drawing you with an everlasting love. He offers it for free without charge or consideration. The Scriptures make it clear that God commended His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. That is grace, it is love, and an attribute of God exercised towards undeserving human beings. We did not seek for it but it was sent in search for us.
Christ Jesus is God’s love for all human beings. By accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour, we accept the gift of God that is freely offered unto us. Many reject Jesus Christ and still want to express love or to be loved. This is impossible because the commandment we have received from God is that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. God is Love and he has revealed Himself in the person of Jesus Christ. Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and you will have true love. (
