"PROMISED SUFFERINGS"

(Adversity Is Your University)

Everybody wants to live in the city but not in adversity. Adversity is a Necessity in life—it is our University. Out of Adversity comes Prosperity. Some of the greatest life lessons—"the whys, the hows, the whens" in life, were taught by adversity. The brightest and intelligent minds to have ever walked on the face of this earth were students of adversity; talk of Jesus, talk of David, talk of Job, talk of Abraham, they all earned their degrees in the classroom of adversity. You learn more from living in adversity than living in the city.

"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial (adversity) when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice..." (1 Peter 4:12, 13; Emphasis Mine). "We were promised sufferings. They were part of the program. We were even told, ‘Blessed are they that mourn’" (CS Lewis) "Blessed are those who are persecuted" "Blessed are you when you’re reviled". Are you facing an adversity? Before a blessing, comes a lesson. Before prosperity comes adversity. "Our light and momentary adversity is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison" (2 Corinthians 4:17). "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials (adversities) of many kinds" (James 1:2; Emphasis Mine). God loves you!
