His Way is in the Sanctuary: Introduction
As the Israelites journeyed from Egypt to the land of Canaan, the Lord commanded Moses the following: "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them" (Exodus 25:8).
The Architecture of the Sanctuary
The sanctuary was to follow a pattern that the Lord showed Moses on the mountain (Exodus 25:9, 40).
The Priesthood of the Sanctuary
Two groups of people from the tribe of Levi ministered in relation to the tabernacle. They are generally referred to as the Levites and the Priests.
The Services of the Sanctuary
Two main services took place within the sanctuary. These services were the daily service and the yearly service
The Feasts of the Sanctuary
Besides the daily and yearly services that were related to the atonement of various sins, there were also other feast days or festivals that were celebrated each year.
His Way is in the Sanctuary
The sanctuary and everything about it were symbols or types that were pointing forward to the Great Antitype, Jesus Christ. Moreover, the sanctuary portrayed the beautiful plan of salvation that was born in the very heart of God
