The Godhead

The Godhead: Introduction
The Godhead is one of the popular topics in Scripture which has generated a lot of debates and controversies in Christendom over the years.

The Godhead
Even though we cannot understand everything about the doctrine of God, yet the biblical concept of the Godhead; that is, the three Personalities who make up the one eternal God is clearly set forth in the Bible.

God the Father
It is clear from Scripture that God the Father is a loving God who gave up His Son so a sinful planet might be saved from the wretchedness of sin.

God the Son
The followers of Jesus worshipped Him because they saw Him to be more than a mere human being.

The God-Man
Through the process of the incarnation, Christ clothed His divinity with humanity, thus becoming the God-Man; a new nature that made Him fully God and fully man.

Only Begotten Son
The expression "only begotten Son" as found in John 3:16 does not mean that Christ was created or brought forth into existence at a point in time. It is clear that just as Isaac was the unique son of promise, so was Christ the unique divine Son of God through whom the world was to be saved.
