God Ordained This War

Samuel Smith

(Fight the Good Fight)

There's a battle you have to fight, and God won't stop it. It is called "THE GOOD FIGHT". It is a fight against your past, a fight against sin, a fight against failure, a fight against ailments, and a fight to be godly. Even if you're far away as David was far away shepherding flocks, God will bring you to it (1 Samuel 17:15-50). Even if you're outnumbered as Gideon and his armies were outnumbered, God will send you to it (Judges 7). It is a war you need badly to excel highly.

It is the very war that will call you to greatness. It is the very war that will make you stand tall in life. Don't run away from what you're warring against. A baby has to fight his way out of the womb in order to grow—he can't escape it. Where can you go to in this world that troubles won't find you? The banks of the Red Sea were as far as the Israelites could go and the Egyptians started chasing them. Moses and the Israelites needed that battle badly to vanquish their foes once and for all (Exodus 14:13). Job needed his troubles to get blessing in doubles (Job 42:10).

The battle can be hard, it can be torturous, and can try your faith. But the good news is; "The battle is the Lord's!" (2 Chronicles 20:15). The war has already been won; all you need is to step into the war zone in faith. Would you say with Paul; "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. And now the prize awaits me--the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of His return"? (2 Timothy 4:7, 8). God loves you!
